In the heart of the Amazon in Belém, against a backdrop of extreme heat, tropical rains and challenging logistics, COP 30 of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) has just reached its conclusions. In the opinion of many, it was in some respects an edition that will be remembered, not so much for the outcome of the negotiations, which were somewhat stuttered, nor for its closing with a fireworks display that was not necessarily what was hoped for, but for the fact that for the first time, a COP will have placed agriculture at the center of attention and discussions on climate.
