2019: International Symposium on Agriculture and Environment ISAE 2019 – Febr. 28, 2019, The Blue Water, Wadduwa
On the initiative of the Faculty of Agriculture of Ruhuna University, this annual symposium aimed to make an update on topics related to agriculture and environment. The inaugural session, in presence of the Sri Lankan Minister of Agriculture and officials of Ruhuna University and of the Faculty of Agriculture, included an inspiring talk by Mr. Herman Brouwer, Adviser on multi-stakeholder commitment to the Center for Development Innovation at Wageningen University Research. The Symposium was the occasion for numerous presentations and exchanges between international and local participants. Thanks to this annual event, but also the strength of these 10 faculties, Ruhuna University, that joined the « 4 for 1000 » Initiative in 2018, strengthens its position as Sri Lanka’s first university.
