Soil Carbon Note #1: Regenerative Agriculture: Contribution to a harmonized definition

The term “Regenerative Agriculture” is increasingly used in the context of changing agricultural practices. This term seems to have unanimous support, both within civil society and in agrifood companies. But, if the term is the same, its meaning is significantly different depending on the point of view in which one places oneself.

In an attempt to clarify the issue, the Scientific and Technical Committee of the international “4 per 1000” Initiative has proposed a contribution to the definition of Regenerative Agriculture in the Soil Carbon Note #1, published in October 2020.
