DESCRIPTION:This workshop was in the framework of the UNFCCC’s Bonn Climate Change Conference in June 2019, under the Koronivia Joint Work on Agriculture  ( https://unfccc.int/documents/65126 )of the SBI  ( https://unfccc.int/process-and-meetings/conferences/bonn-climate-change-conference-june-2019/sessions/sbi-50 )and SBSTA  ( https://unfccc.int/process-and-meetings/conferences/bonn-climate-change-conference-june-2019/sessions/sbsta-50 )\nPresentations from countries including Brazil, the Russian Federation and Senegal as well as the Global Soil Partnership  ( http://www.fao.org/global-soil-partnership/en/ )and the UNCCD  ( http://unccd.int )were held. All material and conclusions are available here ( https://unfccc.int/event/improved-soil-carbon-soil-health-and-soil-fertility-under-grassland-and-cropland-as-well-as ). Claire Chenu, 4p100 STC member, made a presentation titled « Soil carbon: key to address vulnerabilities of agriculture to climate change and food security issues ». \nA side event « Enhancing NDC ambition through soil organic carbon sequestration » was organized by the « 4 per 1000 » initiative, CCAFS and the University of Vermont and coorganized with Cirad, INRA and IRD.\n
