SUMMARY:1st Mediterranean Agroecology Congress
DESCRIPTION:1st Mediterranean Agroecology Congress – 9-12 June 2025 – Agrigente (Sicily), Italy\nThe 1st Mediterranean Agroecology Congress represents an important opportunity for dialogue among farmers, researchers, and actors in the agroecological sector from across the Mediterranean basin. The congress will be a place for dialogue and exchange of practical and scientific experiences. Special attention will be given to the interaction between sciences, practices, and movements, with three thematic days on the topic (June 9, 10, and 12) and a special day of farm visits (June 11), during which farmers will directly illustrate their practices and results in the field.\nThrough a participatory process and round tables, guidelines and directives will be defined for the following areas:\n– Scientific: to guide research towards the real needs of agroecology in the Mediterranean\n– Technical: to promote innovative solutions and practices applicable to Mediterranean agricultural realities\n– Political: to offer guidelines and proposals for public policies aimed at the development of agroecology.\nThe 1st Mediterranean Agroecology Congress is promoted by the Agroecology Sicily Coordination, in collaboration with AIDA (Italian Association of Agroecology) and AIAF (Italian Association of Agroforestry).\nInformation and registration here.\n
